Back9 Digital (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a web design and SEO agency based in Hamilton, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through back9digital.ca, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number and project details you choose to provide. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work you have engaged us for. We do not sell this information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your consent.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect limited technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search that referred you. This is aggregate analytics data used to understand how the site performs. It is not used to identify you personally.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for three purposes:
- Essential — required for the site to function, including security checks and page caching.
- Analytics — Google Analytics, to measure traffic and understand which pages are useful.
- Performance — Cloudflare, our content delivery network, sets cookies to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working correctly.
Third-party services we use
We rely on the following providers, each of which may process limited data on our behalf:

Contact form enquiries are retained for as long as needed to respond and, where a project follows, for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings. You may ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual limits;
- ask us to delete information we no longer need;
- complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security
The site is served over HTTPS and sits behind Cloudflare. We restrict access to enquiry data to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information involved.
Children
Our services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
