Web design for trades & contractors who are booked by phone
Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, roofers, renovators — a site that turns "furnace died at 9pm" searches into calls, shows your real work, and proves you're licensed and insured. Flat-quoted from $1,499.
-
Click-to-call everywhere — most of your leads will never fill a form
-
Licence, insurance and WSIB status shown where homeowners look for them
-
Two to five weeks, start to launch — built around your jobs, not ours

$1,499
Where a single-trade site starts. Flat, quoted before work begins.
Serving Hamilton, Burlington, Stoney Creek, Ancaster, Dundas, Waterdown & Grimsby
Overview
Contractor website design in Hamilton, for trades and contracting companies that get work from referrals and want the website to pull its weight too. Most projects land between $1,499 and $4,999, quoted flat before work begins, with a typical timeline of two to five weeks. If your project is bigger than that, we will say so on the first call rather than after a deposit.
The homeowner picks whoever looks legit and answers first
When a pipe bursts or the AC quits, nobody browses. They search, open two or three results, and call the first one that looks like a real company — licensed, insured, local, with photos of actual jobs and a phone number they can hit with a thumb.
So the site is built around that moment: your number at the top of every page, proof of licence and insurance where they look for it, reviews pulled from Google, and photos of your crew's work — not a stock model in a spotless hard hat.
For the planned jobs — renos, roofs, landscaping — the same site works the slower decision: galleries, guarantees, and a quote form that lets them attach photos of the problem.
Who it fits
Owner-operators, family shops and multi-crew companies whose current site is a Facebook page, a Kijiji ad, or a template from 2016.
Who it does not
Franchises with head-office marketing, or anyone wanting a booking-dispatch platform built from scratch — different project, different budget.
What you own
Your domain, your hosting, your content, your leads — a WordPress site your office can update without calling us.
Process
How a contractor website project actually runs
Five stages, two to five weeks for most shops: a call and job-type map, gathering photos and licence details, design, build and lead wiring, then launch and handover. You're on site all day — so we work around early mornings, rain days and whatever your schedule allows, and every stage ends with something you can actually look at.
01
Call & job-type map
The jobs you want more of, the ones you turn down, your service radius, and who's beating you on Google. We leave with a page map and a flat quote.
02
Photos, licences & reviews
We gather job photos off your phones, confirm licence numbers and insurance wording, and connect your Google reviews so they show on the site automatically.
03
Design
Home page and one service page first, on your phone screen before desktop — because that's where your customers are. Two rounds of revisions included.
04
Build & lead wiring
WordPress build, click-to-call tracked, quote forms with photo upload routed to your inbox or job software, galleries compressed, speed tuned.
05
Launch & handover
We migrate, test every call and form on a real phone, connect analytics and Google Business Profile, then show your office how to add jobs to the gallery.
Why choose Back9
What a trades site needs that a generic template misses
Contractor website design has rules a generic template never learned: emergency searches, licence obligations, reviews, and customers who only ever see your site on a phone in a hallway with a flashlight. These are the things we handle differently, every time.
Built for the emergency call
Number in the header, tap-to-call on every page, after-hours messaging if you run one. We track which pages generate calls so you know what's working.
Licence & insurance, visible
If you hold an ECRA/ESA contractor licence, Ontario requires the number in your advertising and on your website — not just on the truck. We put it where homeowners actually look, next to TSSA certification for gas work, your liability coverage, and a WSIB clearance where one applies — many home-renovation contractors are exempt, and we will not display a number you do not have.
Service-area pages that rank
People search "furnace repair Stoney Creek", not "HVAC solutions". A page per area you serve, written the way homeowners actually search.
Reviews doing the selling
Your Google reviews pulled onto the site automatically, and a post-job review ask that fills the pipeline — because 47 reviews beats any tagline we could write.
Before & after that loads fast
Job photos straight off your crew's phones, compressed and organised into galleries by job type — proof of workmanship without killing load time.
Fast on a phone, one-handed
Your customer is standing in a flooded basement holding a phone. Big tap targets, number always reachable, nothing between them and calling you.

Photography
Photography that looks like your company
Homeowners can smell a stock photo. The van in the driveway, the crew that shows up, the basement you actually finished — that's what convinces someone to let you into their house. The photographs on this page are illustrative; on your site they would be your own work.
A shot list your crew can shoot on their phones — before, during, after, every job.
The owner and the vans, shot once, used everywhere — site, Google profile, estimates.
Customer-property photos used with permission noted, so nothing bites you later.
Compression and lazy loading, so a 40-photo gallery doesn't sink the site on mobile data.
Work to date
What we can show you, and what we won't
We do not publish call counts or revenue figures for clients, and we are not going to invent any to fill this section. What we will do is walk you through recent builds live on a call and explain the reasoning behind every decision on the page.

FAQ
Questions contractors ask us first
Six questions contractors actually ask on the first call — about referrals, lead platforms, ranking guarantees, photography, job software and contracts. If yours is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather answer a hard question early than have it surface mid-build, when it costs both of us time.
I get all my work from referrals. Why do I need a site?
Referrals still Google you before they call. A recommendation from a neighbour plus a site with reviews, licence numbers and photos of real jobs closes the loop; a dead Facebook page breaks it. The site's job is to stop losing the work your reputation already earned.
Will this get me leads like HomeStars or Angi?
Different job. Lead platforms sell the same homeowner to five contractors and charge you per lead forever. Your own site earns calls that come to you alone, and every dollar of ranking you build is yours. Many clients run both for a while — then quietly stop paying for shared leads.
Can you guarantee I rank first for "plumber Hamilton"?
No, and no one honest can — those results are controlled by Google and weighted heavily to reviews and proximity. What we control is the technical foundation, the service-area pages, your Google Business Profile and the local signals. Anyone promising a position is selling something they cannot deliver.
I don't have professional photos. Is that a problem?
No — your crew's phone photos are usually better raw material than stock, because they're real. We give you a simple shot list, clean up what you send, and the site launches with genuine work. A half-day shoot of you and the vans can be added any time.
Can leads go straight into Jobber or ServiceTitan?
Usually, yes. Quote requests can route into Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro and most job-management tools, or plain email if that's how you run things. We confirm what your software accepts before quoting, not after.
Am I locked into a contract after launch?
No. You own the domain, the hosting account, the site and every lead in it. Care plans are month to month and cancellable, and if you would rather maintain it yourself we hand it over and train you to do exactly that.
