Overview
Auto repair website design in Hamilton, for shops and dealers that live on repeat customers and want the website to pull its weight too. Most projects land between $1,499 and $4,999, quoted flat before work begins, with a typical timeline of two to five weeks. If your project is bigger than that, we will say so on the first call rather than after a deposit.
The customer picks whoever looks honest and answers first
When the brakes start grinding or the check-engine light comes on, nobody browses. They search, open two or three results, and call the first shop that looks like a real business — licensed, reviewed, local, with clear pricing and a phone number they can hit with a thumb.
So the site is built around that moment: your number at the top of every page, your estimate and labour-rate policy where they look for it, reviews pulled from Google, and photos of your actual bays — not a stock model in a spotless shop.
For the planned work — tires, detailing, a used-car purchase — the same site works the slower decision: galleries, warranties, and a booking form that lets them attach a photo of the problem.
Who it fits
Independent shops, multi-bay operations, tire and collision centres, detailers, and OMVIC-registered used-car dealers whose current site is a Facebook page or a template from 2016.
Who it does not
Franchise shops with head-office marketing, or anyone wanting a full dealer-management or dispatch platform built from scratch — different project, different budget.
What you own
Your domain, your hosting, your content, your leads — a WordPress site your front counter can update without calling us.
Process
How an auto shop website project actually runs
Five stages, two to five weeks for most shops: a call and service map, gathering bay photos and your estimate policy, design, build and lead wiring, then launch and handover. You are in the shop all day, so we work around early mornings, slow days and whatever your schedule allows.
01
Call & service map
The jobs you want more of, the ones you turn away, your service radius, and who is beating you on Google. We leave with a page map and a flat quote.
02
Photos, pricing & reviews
We gather bay and finished-work photos off your phones, confirm your labour rate and estimate policy wording, and connect your Google reviews so they show on the site automatically.
03
Design
Home page and one service page first, on your phone screen before desktop — because that is where your customers are. Two rounds of revisions included.
04
Build & lead wiring
WordPress build, click-to-call tracked, booking and quote forms with photo upload routed to your inbox or shop software, galleries compressed, speed tuned.
05
Launch & handover
We migrate, test every call and form on a real phone, connect analytics and Google Business Profile, then show your front counter how to add jobs to the gallery.
Why choose Back9
What an auto shop site needs that a generic template misses
Auto repair website design has rules a generic template never learned: urgent searches, the estimate and disclosure rules Ontario puts on repairers, dealer advertising law, reviews, and customers checking you on a phone in a parking lot. These are the things we handle differently, every time.
Built for the breakdown search
Number in the header, tap-to-call on every page, after-hours messaging if you run one. We track which pages generate calls so you know what is working.
Estimate rules, handled properly
Ontario requires a repairer to give a written estimatebefore charging, and the final bill cannot exceed it by more than 10 per cent. Your labour rate, diagnostic and estimate fees, parts commission and storage charges must be posted — we put them on the site as well as the wall. If you sell vehicles, we build to OMVIC all-in price advertising , where the advertised price must include every fee except HST and licensing.
Service-area pages that rank
People search “brake repair Stoney Creek”, not “automotive solutions”. A page per area you serve, written the way drivers actually search.
Reviews doing the selling
Your Google reviews pulled onto the site automatically, and a post-service review ask that fills the pipeline — because a wall of recent reviews beats any tagline we could write.
Before & after that loads fast
Bay and finished-work photos straight off your phones, compressed and organised into galleries by job type — proof of workmanship without killing load time.
Fast on a phone, one-handed
Your customer is standing beside a car that will not start. Big tap targets, number always reachable, nothing between them and calling you.

Photography
Photography that looks like your shop
Drivers can smell a stock photo. Your bays, your technicians, the car you actually fixed — that is what convinces someone to hand over their keys. The photographs on this page are illustrative; on your site they would be your own work.
A shot list your technicians can shoot on their phones — before, during, after, every job.
The shop front and the team, shot once, used everywhere — site, Google profile, estimates.
Customer-vehicle photos used with permission noted, so nothing bites you later.
Compression and lazy loading, so a 40-photo gallery doesn't sink the site on mobile data.
Work to date
What we can show you, and what we won't
We do not publish call counts or revenue figures for clients, and we are not going to invent any to fill this section. What we will do is walk you through recent builds live on a call and explain the reasoning behind every decision on the page.

FAQ
Questions shop owners ask us first
Six questions shop owners actually ask on the first call — about online booking, review platforms, ranking guarantees, photography, shop software and contracts. If yours is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather answer a hard question early than have it surface mid-build, when it costs both of us time.
Most of my work is repeat customers. Why do I need a site?
Repeat customers still Google you, and the friends they recommend you to definitely do. A referral plus a site with reviews, clear pricing and photos of real work closes the loop; a dead Facebook page breaks it. The site’s job is to stop losing the work your reputation already earned.
Will this get me leads like RepairPal or Kijiji Autos?
Different job. Lead platforms sell the same driver to several shops and charge you per lead forever. Your own site earns calls that come to you alone, and every dollar of ranking you build is yours. Many clients run both for a while — then quietly stop paying for shared leads.
Can you guarantee I rank first for “mechanic Hamilton”?
No, and no one honest can — those results are controlled by Google and weighted heavily to reviews and proximity. What we control is the technical foundation, the service-area pages, your Google Business Profile and the local signals. Anyone promising a position is selling something they cannot deliver.
I don't have professional photos. Is that a problem?
No — your phone photos of real jobs are usually better raw material than stock, because they are real. We give you a simple shot list, clean up what you send, and the site launches with genuine work. A half-day shoot of the shop and team can be added any time.
Can bookings go straight into Shop-Ware or Mitchell 1?
Usually, yes. Booking and quote requests can route into Shop-Ware, Mitchell 1, Tekmetric and most shop-management tools, or plain email if that is how you run things. We confirm what your software accepts before quoting, not after.
Am I locked into a contract after launch?
No. You own the domain, the hosting account, the site and every lead in it. Care plans are month to month and cancellable, and if you would rather maintain it yourself we hand it over and train you to do exactly that.
